Lois Virginia Matson, 87, of Flora died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. Lois was born to the late Marcus R. and Ersie Pullen Hughes in Flora on March 13, 1928.Lois married Leroy Carl Matson on September 12, 1943 in Lafayette and he preceded her on October 21, 2013.

Lois was a waitress at The Rainbow Café, she also worked at Sayco and Rockwell International in Flora. She attended schools in Flora and Camden. Lois was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Home Economics Club in the Flora area.

Lois is survived by a daughter: Joyce Miller of Lafayette. 3 sons and daughter-in-laws: James and Sandy Matson of Anderson, Thomas Matson of the state of Washington, and Robert and Joy Matson of New Mexico. One sister: Marjorie Miller of Lafayette. 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded by 1 son: Gary, 1 granddaughter: Denise, 2 daughter-in-laws, parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 AM till the time service at 11:30 AM at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel. 204 S. Center St, Flora, IN 46929. Pastor Jeff Tomson will officiate. Burial to follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Family is asking for memorials to be given to Living Faith Church of the Brethren or ALS.
