Eric P. Hansen, 56 of Romney, IN died Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Lafayette. Eric was born to the late Ray and Joan Winnie Hansen in Long Island, NY on April 2, 1961. He has lived in the New Richmond and Romney area since 1996 coming from Florida.
Eric was co-owner of Southern Crossroads Auto Sales in Romney. Recently he started attending Sunrise Christian Reformed Church in Lafayette. Eric was a proud family man, he was involved in his children’s lives during summer softball and helping with his daughter’s band concerts at McCutcheon High School. When the kids were young he would be Santa at school.
Eric was formerly married Jo Reynolds-Hansen. Also surviving are one son: Eric Hansen Jr. of Romney. Two daughters: Jessica Lynn Bouvier of Tennessee and Bailie Joan Reynolds-Hansen of Romney. Two grandchildren: Cailin and Rilyn Hansen. One brother: Sandy Hansen of Florida. Two sisters: Karin Coelho of Louisiana and Susan Kyle of Florida.
Eric’s family invites friends to call Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral service to be at 1:00 PM all at the Sunrise Christian Reformed Church, 909 East 500 South, Lafayette, IN 47909. Pastor Randy Bergsma officiating. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Romney. The family ask that all donations be given to the Community Cancer Network, P.O. Box 4499, Lafayette, IN 47903. Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel Flora is honored to assist the Hansen Family.
