Flora, IN on March 29, 1936 to the late Claude and Olga Mae Disinger Young. She attended Flora schools.
Jo Ann married Irvin G. Britton on September 26, 1952 in Camden and he preceded her on June 20, 2006.
Jo Ann and Irvin owner of Pizzeria in Burlington. She also worked at Burlington Marathon. She and her husband had a greenhouse on their property, raising vegetables and flowers. She also worked in Delphi at P & R Furniture Factory.
Jo Ann attended Cross Roads Community Church, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and taking care of her dogs ” Rowdy and Josie” At her home she enjoyed feeding and watching over her raccoons.
Survivors include: One daughter and son-in-law: Lora and Brad Blackburn of Flora. One son and daughter-in-law: David and Lesli Britton of Flora. One sister and brother-in-law: Mary Ann and Bill Kidd. Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is preceded by a daughter: Sabrina Jones in 1998.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Ball Hill Cemetery, near Cutler. Memorials may be given in Jo Ann Young Britton’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundations or the Tippecanoe County Humane Society.
Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
