Roy L. Farris, 52, of Crawfordsville, IN went to his heavenly home October 11, 2016 in Crawfordsville after a long battle of Congestive Heart Failure.  Roy was born in Lafayette, IN on February 3, 1964.  His parents Robert ( Bob) Farris and Everett and Geneva Brummett.  Roy was once married to Carla Patterson and she survives.  He was raised in Clarks Hill, Dayton and Lafayette

Roy worked 20 years for Waste Management.  He was a 1983 graduate of McCutcheon High School.  He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Crawfordsville.  Roy served in the National Guard.  Roy was also a  fan of stock car racing.

Roy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law of which he made his home with: Karley and Daniel Harwood.  Three sons and daughter in-laws:  Robert and Ashley Boone-Farris of Crawfordsville:  Royce and Elizabeth Farris of Crawfordsville and Jacob Farris of Crawfordsville.  Mother and step-father: Geneva and Everett Brummett of Williamsport.  One sister and brother-in-law: Roxane and Roy Myers of Crawfordsville.  Brothers: Ed Farris, Steve Lynch, Shane Harbolt, and Walter Farris. Stepbrother Everett Bramlett Jr. Step-Sister: Denise Saylor.  Sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  Roy is preceded by his father, brother-Gary (Curly) Lynch and daughter- Christina Farris.

Roy’s family invite friends to call from 2:00 PM till time of his celebration of Life service at 4:00PM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Crawfordsville.  Pastor Randy Glenn officiating.  Private interment.  Memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church.   Roy’s family has entrusted Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel Flora, IN for arrangements.
