Carol B. Pullen of Cutler, IN died Tuesday, October 30, 2023, at Franciscan Health Lafayette. He was born August 11, 1944, in Frankfort, IN to the late Bert and Mabel (Bordner) Pullen. He graduated in the inaugural Carroll High School class of 1962. On June 24, 1966, Carol married Jane (Beckley) in Lake Cicott, IN, she survives.
After high school Carol joined the Indiana National Guard, where he served from 1964-1970. In 1965 he began work at the Chrysler Transmission Plant in Kokomo. He would retire after 34 years of service on December 31, 1999. He also farmed for several years, and in his retirement was a courier for Sandridge Bank. Mr. Pullen was a member, Deacon Elder, and Clerk of the Session at the Cutler Presbyterian Church. His hobbies included being with his grandchildren, playing cards, and being with his 4-legged friend Cooper.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Jay (Julie) Pullen of Kokomo, Ind., and a daughter, Jill (Cameron) Proffitt of Flora, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Corey, Kyle, Cody, and Kayla Proffitt; Shiloh and Kira Pullen; and Lauren Spesard; and nine great-great grandchildren.
The Pullen family invites friends to visit on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wheeler Family Funeral Home- Baker Chapel. 204 S. Center St. Flora, IN 46929. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 3, 2023, with visitation from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., at the Cutler Presbyterian Church 40 E. 500 S. Cutler, IN 46920. Rev. Lee McReynolds and Zachary Brubaker will officiate. In-lieu of flowers the family request all donations be made to the Cutler Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be provided. Wheeler Family Funeral Home is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Pullen Family.
