Darrell L. Miller, 66, of Delphi went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Darrell was born to the late Clarence J. and Leora B. Pattengale Miller on April 27, 1957, in Lafayette, IN. Darrell was a phone electrician for GTE for 30 years before retiring in 2009. He graduated from Lincoln Tech in 1983. Darrell was a member and past trustee at Battle Ground Bible Church and loved helping with vacation bible school. Darrell was an avid Nascar fan, he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed it when his sons and their wives were all together sitting around campfires, taking the kids on vacation to Holiday World every summer. Darrell and Brenda enjoyed five cruises. He was involved with his sons in cub scouts and baseball. He was a timekeeper for swim meets at Delphi High School. Darrell and Brenda volunteered at Shakamak Bible Camp, and counselors at CheckPoint. On February 7, 1982, Darrell married the love of his life Brenda Stewart, and she survives. He is also survived by two sons: Brandon (Rachel) Miller of Florida and Kyle (Ashton) Miller of Delphi. Brother: Clay Miller of Lafayette.
Friends may visit the Miller Family Monday, July 3, 2023, at the Battle Ground Bible Church, 2430 E. 600 N., West Lafayette, IN 47906 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. A Celebration of Darrell’s Life will begin at 1:00pm. Pastor Kenny Loehe will officiate. Burial to follow at Colburn United Brethren Cemetery, next to his parents. Memorials may be given to charity of choice in Darrell’s memory.
