Frances C. Fisher, 93, of Flora, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Milner Healthcare in Rossville.

Born on June 3, 1933, in Ekin, Indiana, Frances was the daughter of the late Walter and Sarah Jarrett VanBriggle. She married Donald Robertson on May 6, 1953, in Bringhurst, Indiana. They shared nearly three decades together before his passing on July 20, 1982.

Frances devoted her life to caring for others. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the former Brethren Home in Flora and also provided compassionate care to individuals in their own homes. Although she attended Sircleville High School, she later achieved a lifelong goal by earning her GED in 1990, a milestone she was especially proud of.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. In her younger years, she attended Valley View Baptist Church and, more recently, was a faithful attendee of Burlington Church of Christ. Frances also enjoyed spending time with friends on the bowling lanes as a member of Kokomo’s “Over the Hill Gang” bowling team.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael (Judy) Robertson of Williamsport; her daughters, Iona Sue Hall of Bringhurst and Debbie (David) Garrison of Flora; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Marybell Hicks.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by her fourteen siblings, sons-Charlie, David and Tommy.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Wheeler Family Funeral Home – Baker Chapel, 204 S. Center Street, Flora. A celebration of Frances’ life will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor David Osborn officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Burlington Church of Christ.
