Gloria J. Sharer, 72, of Flora, passed away Sunday morning, August 17, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. Gloria was born on December 16, 1952, in Story City, Iowa to the late Leonard and Wilma Duken Coffman. On October 19, 1973, in Iowa, Gloria married Jim Sharer, and he preceded her in 1993. Gloria worked at KFC in Lafayette and Logansport. She graduated from South Hamilton Community High School. She and her husband were involved with Draft Pony’s; they would travel to different events and fairs with the pony’s. Gloria was a Nascar fan cheering for Greg Biffle. Gloria is survived by two daughters: Wendy Sharer of Flora and Shelly Becht of Illinois. She adored her three grandchildren: Lily, Sophia and Brooklyn. Sister: Sandra Cinkle of Iowa. Sister -in-law: Ann Coffman of Iowa. She is preceded by her parents, brother Dennis Coffman.
The Sharer Family invite friends to visit Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 South Center Street, Flora, IN 46929. A Celebration of Gloria Sharer’s Life will be start at 1:00pm. Pastor Brad Burton will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Lawn with her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Gloria’s granddaughters’ education; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
