Joseph C. Grider, 76, of Flora, passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, June 19,2025. Joe was born to the late Wiley and Mary Ivey Grider in Stevenson, AL on December 22, 1948. On December 18, 1992, Joe married Penny Blanck, and she survives. Joe has lived in the Flora area since 2017 coming from Illinois. While living in Illinois, Joe drove a semi from a transfer station to the landfill. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, Il. Living in Flora, Joe attended Northview Church Flora, was involved with the Community Center, and was in Maintenance at Air Force Inns at Grissom Air Force Base. He was a green blooded Green Bay Packer Fan. Joe is survived by his wife: Penny Grider. Three sons: Joe Grider, Jeff Grider and Jeremy Grider. Two stepdaughters: Darci (Zack) Hall and Jessica (Nathan) LaMar. Grandkids: Madyson, Kayden, Cayl Hall and Zoey LaMar. Three sisters. Special niece: Kathy (Dave) Bartucci. Three great nieces, one great nephew and two great-great
nephews.
Following Joe’s wishes, there will be no public service.
A private family celebration will be held.
Memorial contributions in Joseph Grider memory may be given to IU Hospice.
