Leroy Jay Pearson, 93, of the Flora and Delphi area, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. Leroy was born to the late Harley J. and Mary Kauffman Pearson on February 23, 1925 in Colburn, IN.

Leroy was raised in Carroll County, where he farmed. He was a truck driver and drove for Triangle Feeds in Camden. He also worked at Yeager and Sullivan.

Leroy married Ruth Ann Oaks in Delphi on June 1, 1947 and she survives.

One son: Michael J. and Carol Pearson of Bringhurst, IN. Eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. One brother: Sandford Pearson of Tennessee. One sister: Bernadean Kinzer of Flora. He is preceded by brothers, Harold, Clifford and Richard.

Leroy Jay Pearson’s family invites friends to visit Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 9:00 AM until service time of 11:00 AM at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 South Center Street, Flora, IN 46929.  Reverend Ed Selvidge will officiate. Burial to follow at Zion Cemetery, with the Carroll County Color Guard Military Rites. Memorials may be given to donor’s choice in Leroy Jay Pearson’s honor.
