Lucinda Irene “Lucy” Flora, formerly of Flora and a resident of Anderson, Indiana, for the past several years, entered Heaven’s gates on August 2, 2026, at Clinton House in Frankfort, Indiana.
Lucy was born on April 8, 1980, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Ronald and Kathy Allen Flora. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1999 and later attended cosmetology school. Lucy worked as a beautician for several years and loved doing hair and makeup.
In her younger years, she played softball. She treasured spending time with her family and friends. After high school, Lucy worked at Stephens IGA in Flora and at Dollar General. She later became an in-home personal caretaker for elderly individuals. Lucy had a servant’s heart and was especially proud to have been the nanny of Josh and Melissa Ayres.
Lucy is survived by her mother, Kathy Flora of Flora; her sister, Tabitha (Doug) Forgey of Camden; her brother-in-law, Zack Pattengale of Brookston; and her niece and nephews, Rebekah, Joseph, and Paul. She was also a proud great-aunt to three nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Flora; her sister, Malissa Pattengale; and her grandparents, Dorval and Ruby Allen and Paul and Esther Flora.
Lucy has been laid to rest with her family at Maple Lawn Cemetery. No public service is planned at this time.
Contributions may be given to the family to assist with expenses.
