Margaret Ann (Bunch) Grubb, 76, of Milton, FL, previously from Flora, IN passed away on September 28, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL, with her husband of 57 years, John Grubb at her side.

Margaret was born August 15, 1947, in Logansport, IN, she was the daughter of William and Dorothy (Hayes) Bunch. On February 19, 1966, she married John Grubb, her Carroll High School sweetheart at St. Boniface Church in Lafayette, IN.

Margaret embraced her role as a Navy wife, she faithfully and proudly supported her husband, raised her two children, and still found time to assist other service members and their families through Naval Relief. She was an avid “Band Mom” always supporting her children’s musical endeavors in every way possible. In retirement she enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles, but more than anything Margaret’s favorite pastime was being a grandma to her 8 grandchildren.

Surviving family include her husband, John Grubb; children, Janet (Ken) Hjort-Smith of South Bend, IN and Michael (Bobi) Grubb of Milton, FL. Eight grandchildren, Nadja, Maria, Elizabeth, Gabreal, Ethan, Geoffrey, Alexandria, Nicole and one great-granddaughter Autumn. Margaret is also survived by one sister, Barbara Parkhurst of Kokomo, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. William Bunch, Sisters: Edith Helvie and Pauline Lantz, and her in-laws John and Rose Grubb.

Family and Friends are welcome to call on October 25, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on October 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm with calling from 11:30 am until service begins at 1pm. Calling and Service will be held at Wheeler Family Funeral Home- Baker Chapel, 204 S. Center St. Flora, IN 46929. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Margaret’s honor can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital at www.stjude.org envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.

    John and family, so sorry to hear about Margaret. John, I remember meeting both you and Margaret one summer detasseling corn. Margaret had such a wonderful personality and always wore a smile. I enjoyed her friendship from that time on. My prayers are with you and your family.
