Marjorie A. Reef, 93, of Flora, was called to her Heavenly home Thursday, May 29, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. Marjorie was born on January 12, 1932, in Howard County, IN to the late Floyd and Martha Bowerman Peterson. On October 28, 1953, in Cutler Marjorie married Joseph Carol “Kay” Reef, and he proceeded her on November 17, 2006. She operated a beauty shop in her home in Cutler. Marjorie also worked at the Carroll County Auditor Office. She was a 1950 graduate of Cutler High School and the Lafayette Beauty Academy. She was a member of the Cutler Presbyterian Church. Marjorie is survived by two sons: Bob (Heidi) Reef of Bringhurst and Scott (fiancé Elizabeth Gibson) Sheagley of Bringhurst. Six grandchildren: Justin (Shelly) Sheagley, Jayme (Torey) Collins, Jonathon (Shaina) Sheagley, Aaron Sheagley, Carey (Brittney) Reef and Landon (Megan) Reef. Nine great-grandchildren: Aiden Sheagley, Adysyn (Rich) Sheagley, Colton Collins, Cody Collins, Theon Sheagley, Vaughn Sheagley, Sloan Sheagley, Hayden Reef and Logan Reef. One great-greatgrandchild:: Lincoln Rich. She is preceded by a son-Steven O Sheagley, her first husband, Richard Sheagley and a daughter-in-law, Jill Sheagley.
The Reef Family invite friends to visit Monday, June 2, 2025, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 S. Center Street, Flora, IN 46929. Celebration of Marjorie Reef’s Life will begin at 1:00pm. Rev Lee McReynolds will officiate. Burial to follow at Ball Hill Cemetery, near Cutler. Memorials may be given in Marjorie’s name to the Cutler Presbyterian Church.
