Mark W. Wheeler, 68, a lifelong resident of Clarks Hill, IN died at his home Saturday, December 9, 2023, after a short and courageous battle. Mark was born on January 30, 1955, in Lafayette, IN to the late Max “Freck” and Macel M. Perry Wheeler. Mark was married to Cheryl Huddleston and later to Deborah S. Matthews. Mark was a truck driver with Bailey Truck for 23 years and drove a truck for a total of 48 years. He was a 1974 graduate of Wainwright High School, members of the Linden Conservation Club, Lafayette Eagles, an avid Nascar and Indy face fan, attended the Indianapolis 500 for several years, enjoyed the outdoors and fishing at Sugar Creek. Mark is survived by three daughters: Holly (Brad) Warf of Clarks Hill, Toni (Wayne) Laswell of Pine Village and Jessica (companion Troy) Elliott of Clarks Hill. Sister: Mary (companion Abby) Wheeler of Bloomington. Eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Marks Family invite friends to visit Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Clarks Hill Christian Church, 9510 Pearl Street, Clarks Hill, IN 47930 from 10:00am until the Celebration of Marks Life at 12:00pm. Pastor Jeff Stedge will officiate. Burial to follow Union Cemetery near Clarks Hill. Memorials may be given to the Clarks Hill Christian Church Food Panty. The family ask that all that attend dress very causal.

You leave many family members and many friends whom we sadly miss,but we can never forget our memories. You raised a beautiful daughter Holly Ann,to become a lady as you wished ,a proud father.
