Marvin J Yoder, 84, of Flora passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at Indiana University Arnett in Lafayette. Marvin was born in Frankfort, IN on February 15, 1939, to Paul and Faye Mossburg Yoder. On September 30, 1961 he married Joyce West and she preceded him in death on December 21, 2021. Marvin attended Cutler High School. He spent three years working in the Larue Carter Hospital in Indianapolis. He later worked at Sayco for over 40 years before retiring in 2004. Marvin enjoyed mowing the yard on his John Deere. He also looked forward to reading each edition of the Vendicator . Marvin enjoyed watching westerns and sports on TV and spending time with family. Marvin had a heart of gold and was always there to help others. Surviving are his three children: Sarah (Mick) Graham of Flora; Darrell (Kris) Yoder of Flora and Mike (Lupe) Yoder of Frankfort. Five grandchildren, several step grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Wayne and Junior Yoder; son-Mark Yoder and a great-grandson Gavin Gerlach.
Marvin’s funeral service will be at 11:00am Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 S. Center Street, Flora, IN 46929. Ted Lucas will officiate. Burial to follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Marvin Yoder’s name to Riley Childrens Hospital.
