To Sandi’s family….I had the honor and privilege of serving with in the Navy. Sandi was a very highly thought of and valued member of the Operating Room Staff when I was the Operating Room Supervisor at Naval Hospital, Oakland, CA. I was just reading her Christmas message from last year and of her retirement and plans, and of her Dad and Banjo. It was such a shock to receive the card that Sandi had written and to find that she has transitioned into the arms of Jesus. Sandi was one to set the example for the other technicians, as well on all of the OR staff in regard to personal example, integrity, compassion and always having the patient uppermost in her daily assignments. I am saddened to learn of her leaving, however, knowing Sandi she went straight up to Heaven. Sandi was one in a million and as I reiterated I was indeed honored to have served with her during my tenure in the Navy Nurse Corps. My heartfelt condolences to you her family. God Bless.
