Sula Avery, 78, of Cutler, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at Clinton House in Frankfort. Sula was born on December 21, 1946, in Monticello, KY to Fred and Sally Young Parmley. Sula married Jack Avery, and he preceded her in 1998. She was a Nursing Aid in Frankfort for years. Sula enjoyed her dogs, cats, gardening and quilting. She is survived by four brothers: Kenneth Parmley (Sula’s twin), Stanley Parmley, Shelby Parmley and Alpha Parmley. Two sisters: Thelma Bell and Bessie Yingst. She is preceded by her parents, infant brother-Henry and sister Ethel.
Friends may visit Friday, June 20, 2025, from 12 noon until 2:00pm at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 South Center Street, Flora, IN 46929. Celebration of Sula’s Life will begin at 2:00pm. Burial to follow at Ball Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Sula to charity of choice.
