Virginia L. Brown, 90, of Bringhurst, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Milner Healthcare in Rossville. Virginia was born to the late George and Clarissa Thomas Hughes on September 29, 1931, in Sweet Home, TX. She married Billy Dean Brown on January 26, 1954, in Corpus Christi, TX and he precedes her in death. Virginia worked as the secretary for Dr. Amaya in Flora. She also worked at Sayco and Essex in Flora. Virginia enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She made blankets for all her grandchildren. She is survived by a son: Carl E. (Robbyne) Brown of Bringhurst. Two daughters: Geneva (Pete) Gwin of West Lafayette and Sheree Maloy of Flora. Several grand and great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.
Friends may visit Friday, June 3, 2022, from 10:00 am until time of funeral at 11:00 am at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 S. Center Street, Flora, IN. Brad Burton will officiate.
